Maurice Richard Heesen. Born in Hoorn, NL on the 27th of March in 1969. He studied graphic design in Amsterdam and worked as an art director for 2 1/2 years before setting of on a 6 year long journey around the globe. During this time he made his money designing backpacks, which were manufactured in Nepal, and sold in Europe. While in Singapore, he bought a camera which never left his side for the rest of his trip. Observing human life and capturing the greatest, funniest, most touching moments was all he wanted to do.

Maurice likes to tell a good story through images. He believes that there’s always one single moment where everything comes together. Once the ad agencies started calling him for possible assignments the big question was: Can he create that story?
The answer was: Yes.
